Currently running Workflow 7.1 (Workflow in use for 5 years - upgrade coming) and have recently been made aware of a strange problem.
Safari users on Apple systems are unable to select items listed in a grid component. They don't seem to have any other functional issues (list box 'select' still works) but 'select' in a grid has become impossible. I'm having the same issue with Safari for Windows (v5.1.7). Any assistance or validation of the issue in other places would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone has successfully migrated Altiris 6.5 to a new server that is running 2008 OS?

Does anyone kno wwhere i can find instrcutions on how to alter the Customer Satisfaction survey form in 7.5. I have looked but can only find instructions for 7.1 and they do not carry over to 7.5. I am looking to customise it and add some images. i woudl also like to know how to change teh defailt link on the survey email so tht it takes the customer directly through to the survey and not to the page.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I need a dacument about symantec altiris sql movement to a new SQL server.
how can I move my Altiris database from one SQL to other SQL.
My company is currently migrating from Altiris Deployment Console 6.9 to Notification Server 7.5. Most software packages have been migrated to the new environment although I'm not sure how to import these couple of software packages still remaining.
These MSI packages have installation parameters that are unique for each installation. In deployment console an helpdesk operator would manually set these MSI parameters in the console and then push the package.
What is the best way to configure this in notification server?
I would like to know what database table(s) contian the NAME of a image.ghost file. It is tedious to search or open all the folders on the task handler trying to find a specific ghost image. It would be easier to have a query that gave the id (foldername) and the name of the ghost image. For example, this folder 391cfbdc-3353-47f8-8145-e961964852e6 contains a ghost image, 38hj.gho. I would like have a query I can run to get this information.
If we want to block live update URLs ( https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/urls-symantec-liveupdate-server ) on firewall for the whole network except SEPM servers, will there be any issues to be expected by doing this? If we have GUPs defined, is there any reason why anything else should go to live update servers?
We currently have the client management suite installed and are mainly using it for managed software deliveries. I am trying to configure the Deployment Solution side of things and am running into issues.
I have created multiple different "test" tasks and all of them fail to run successfully.
I created a power control task to shutdown or restart a computer. When attempting to schedule the job, I get the below:
First it just states, "Selected devices will have these filters applied: All discovered Virtual Machines". And at the bottom beside the computer name it states, "This device is not capable of running this task". After I hit schedule anyway, that's when I get the "After scoping and filtering no computers are left assigned to this task. I am not sure why I cannot push these power control tasks.
These are the plugins installed on the machine I am pushing the task to:
Separately, any other job I try to push to the machine, just sits, "queued" or "Start Pending" and the machine never gets the task. I assume I am missing some simple plugin or configuration to allow these tasks to run, but I have been unable to find it thus far.

Altiris 7.5 with SSL fully implemented. None of my Mac clients will authenticate to the package sources. I'm connecting to the NS and registering with task without issue. My brick wall is when I try to pull a package. I'm sure that it's a certificate issue, and I have two separate environments, one development environment with self signed certificates and one other environment with third-party certificates. Both examples are acting exactly the same. As far as I know, the only certificate being pushed to the Mac during agent install is the SSL certificate used by the notification server.
In 7.1 how do we gather monitor inventory information. I have found several references to 6.9 but nothing in relationship to 7.1. Currently I have an external process that gathers monitor inventory information and ingests it into Altiris and assigned ownership. But isn't there an automated method I could use within Altiris itself, write a special custom inventory or something?
Any guidance would be helpful.
I have Altiris Inventory Agent (v7.5.3219) running on several computers. The issue is that everytime a Collect Full Inventory task runs it fails, causing a Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library popup error saying that a "Debug Assertion Failed!" instead. I have attached a screenshot of the popup that appears. Any help would be appreciated.
(The computers are running Windows 7 x64 Professional)
I have overlook this one and enabled two policy at the same time (host only and full install policy).
Result most of pc installed PCAnywhere with host only connection.
Client want to use their PCAnywhere on any pc.. Is there a procedure that can be done to do this without reinstalling PCA?
I would like to add some text on the title page so that the users know what system they are logging in to.

Whenever I apply a theme, the theme will be aligned to the top center of the page, but my form will be aligned to the center center of the page. If I remove the theme, the form will align to the top center of the page.
The above happens in IE when I De-Bug.
In the Form Editor everything looks correct.

Suddenly all the altiris agents are stop working getting any software delivery task or any update client update configuration task
All their unitary task install are failling
All the altiris agents are registered properly with task servers.
Receiving the following in my logs. And my site servers seem to not be currently getting the new downloaded patches wondering if these are related:

pcaynwhere install on system success but after some time system was crashed.
I startup system on safe mode and remove it now system running fine.
What is the reason for the crash of system with this installation?
PcAnywhere 12.5 and OS Window 8.1?
When i have connect to the remote user it start very smooth but after a minute connection display very dull.
Even the system is not so far from the location but problem in seen.
I have disconnect and connect it again but no changes. I have not seen the proper screen so not be troubleshoot the issue for which of the reason i have takne that remote.
