    Bonjour,

    Je n'arrive pas à m'y retrouver concernant la mise à jour des clients SEP.

    Sur ma console SEPM, dans "Démarrage" j'ai ceci :  "Définitions Windows / les plus récentes sur le gestionnaire : 10-09-2014 r2"

    Dans "Clients", j'ai fait une synchro avec l'active directory. Je regarde mon poste, et je vois dans les propriétés : "Définitions de virus actuelles : 09/07/2014 r3"(Pour infos, quand je regarde directement sur le poste, le bouclier à un rond vert).

    Je lance alors depuis la console SEPM, la commande "mettre à jour le contenu", une fois la commande terminé (100% dans Moniteurs / Etat de la commande) je regarde à nouveau les propriétés du poste dans "Clients", les définitions n'ont pas changer je suis toujours sur 09/07/2014 r3 au lieu d'être en 10-09-2014 r2.

    J'ai également essayé de faire "Mettre à jour la politique" depuis le client, après 24h j'ai revérifié, les définitions anti-virus n'ont pas changer dans la partie "Clients" de la console SEPM.

    Est-ce normal ? Faut-il faire un rafraichissement quelque part (j'ai essayé "synchoniser maintenant", sans succès) ?

    Merci de votre aide rapide car j'ai de nombreux clients qui ont des définitions anti-virus obsolètes.

    Pas de serveur LIVEUPDATE, juste le serveur de gestion par défaut - Client Symantec version 12.1.3001.165

    Hello!

    I built a workflow for a customer, where he can create a Predefined Computer. There he enters the MAC-Address of the machine und chooses one Job from the SMP out of a DropDownList. After that the customer is able to choose an Organizational Group from his Active Directory where he wants to add the computer.

    Now my Question:

    Is it possible to let the customer create more than one Predefined Computer, with all parameters and the Organizational Group? I am thinking about to collect the entered data in a file and then let the SMP work it through, that the customer is able to deploy more than one computer without restarting the workflow, for every single computer?

    Is anyone having experiences with that or does some have a simple solution for my issue?

    I am trying to build a Workflow where I can manage the Active Directory. At first I am choosing a User-Account. That I want to add to different groups. I have a list which I import from the Active Directory, but this list I want to manage becomes the User Account is already in one or more groups. I am trying to create a loop where I can filter the groups where the user is member of and only let me display the groups where I can add him. But my loop is not working. I import in an array all groups. Then I have another one where I have the Groups where the User is member of. With the loop I want to find which groups are the same in the two arrays and let write the other ones in a new array which I get displayed.

    Does someone have a best practice for that or any experiences with something like that?

    Hey Guys, 

    Just wondering for those that have successfully captured a Windows 8.1 image for redeployment, what are your steps.

    Mine is:

    1. Prepare For Capture - OS Type : Windows 8.1(x64)

                                         Product Key: Current

    2. Run Create Image

    3. Boot to Prod

     

    The actual process goes through just fine, but once the computer comes back up the user profile has non of the changes i made (i pre-config user profile and do Copy Profile)

    Actually All apps are gone for the Start Screen, Cant right click anything, Wall Paper is black.

    Now I've tested running Sysprep locally on the machine with a answer file and it works 100%

    I've also tested running the Prepare for Capture on it's own and thats obsiviously where the issue it happening.

     

    The only thing i can think of is when running sysprep manually , i run it as the local admin account and when i run the prepare capture task off the console it uses a domain service account.

    Good day all,

    I am trying to determine a way to monitor the event queue or Notification server to alert me when it is down.  There may be some canned reports or notification to use but I am not sure what is what.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  

    We use a tool called Nagios to monitor our servers and systems in our data center. Has anyone found a way to use Nagios to monitor the Altiris services to alert when they are down?  I already monitor CPU and Memory and those types of things but that doesnt tell me if the system is down or not.

    We have 4500 users that are all CEM connected.  We have 2 gateways, 2 site servers and 1 notification server.   Were running CMS 7.5 on windows 08R2 standard.  

    Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks

    Does anyone have any experience actually submitting a SOAP request to the SD.IncidentManagementSimple service? I'm working a web form that uses PHP's SOAP client to submit the request and it submits well enough, but I can't get it to take the CurrentlyAssignedQueue value. I've tried populating CurrentlyAssignQueue, CurrentlyAssignedQueueName, and both at once, but so far nothing has worked and so the ticket just ends up in the default queue.

    Hello,

    Now that patch management can deploy Java, Adobe etc., does anyone know of a way to create a task for a software update so I am not making redundant packages? For example, I need to make a .NET 4.5.1 job to manually drag and drop on a few PC's. I already staged MSWU-883 ({67326663-1ea0-47b6-8214-8badc1be8c2f}) to deploy to some filters. Is there a way to make a task using the resource from that bulletin so I don't have to script this myself?

    I know I could generically point the clients to a policy that never runs, then utilize "AeXPatchUtil /f {67326663-1ea0-47b6-8214-8badc1be8c2f} /q" but I don't really want to make new policies for this.

    I could also do a Run Script task to point to the package that is already staged for the update "X:\Program Files\Altiris\Patch Management\Packages\Updates\MSWU-883\{67326663-1ea0-47b6-8214-8badc1be8c2f}\NDP451-KB2858728-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe /q /norestart" but that isn't very streamlined and I may need to make a custom Package Server token on top of it.

    How would I make a task that just runs "MSWU-883" so I can manually drag and drop it from a job?

    I'm trying to boot a HP Elitedesk 800 G1 into WinPE x64 but not work. Is trying to get ip from DHCP.

    The x64 driver listed in the kb https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/winpe4-and-hp-elitedesk-800-g1-issue does not work.

    In the log message is displayed: Added ReturnCode drivers: 212.

    And In console: Driver could not be added to preboot OS.

    Any idea?

    Need help with couple tasks I'm trying to accomplish in Altiris 7.1 and I appreciate help and feedback.

    1. Need to get list of all reports incuding the custom ones developed in Altiris 7.1 and we have hundreds so I thought would be helpful to have SQL query that provide all the reports and their descriptions exported out.

    2. After I get task one completed  then I need to determine if IT Analystics will have the ability to convert some of the reports that we have in our environment including the custom-code reports . I will document the ones that we can convert or rebuild with IT Analystics and ones that cannot be managed or rebuilt by the tool.

    I try to config for promote site server of the client on each branch but I can't check or enable task service and package service

    on targer client. I've checked the systems requirement, It's OK. I've tried to reset agent and re-install but the problem still occure. 

    My system information:

    1) Altiris CMS 7.5

    2) OS XP SP3 

    3) CPU i5 3.20 Ghz

    4) Ram 4 GB

    5) IIS 6.0 Compatibility

    6) .Net 3.5 SP1

    We observe that from last 6 days clients not communicating with NS server.

    We deployed one software it got installed on all the client system but it is not reflecting in NS console also if we fetch report from SQL server then also its not showing.

    And when i check in inventory report Last scan date from last 6 days communication not happening

    Has anyone added an Altiris 7.5 database as an External CMDB Connection in the Analytics configuration in Altiris 7.1?

    We use reports and extracts from the Analytics (views) on our Altiris 7.1 database to bring together data from all the local (7.1) notification servers. We now have a new Altiris 7.5 heirarchy installed separately for Proof-of-Concept that we'll migrate a few end-points to. However we need those endpoints to continue appearing in the Analytics Views and Reports on 7.1 until we migrate our 7.1 notification server installations to Altiris 7.5.

    We've ruled out replication because you can't forward from 7.5 to 7.1.

    Does anyone do something similar?

    Can I add an Altiris 7.5 CMDB to the Altiris 7.1 Analytics CMDB list? If so, any comments about successs or issues encountered?

    The only reason I can think of not to do this, is that the tables/views on 7.5 that the Analytics solution will try and merge into the 7.1 database views are different in content or structure.

    Issue: Unable to use Enable bandwidth control checkbox within the Altiris/Symantec Management Agent when User Account Control (UAC) is enabled.

    We have noticed this issue since UAC was implemented by Microsoft. We finally opened a case with Symantec regarding this, but it would seem a larger issue that others would have seen. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Has anyone opened a case for this? Does anyone know of an existing KB on this issue?

    Does anyone know how to get Autologon working for ServiceDesk 7.5? I am using SD 7.5.3001.62 and I logon using an AD account that has been imported into the database. I have set the Master Settings to use AD Authentication and in the database, the AD Account Login is:

    <Domain>\<User>

    When I use "whoami" as the user, i get the same.

    I have not fiddled around with the installation and have used the process defined in:

    Is there anything else that I need to do to get it working?

    Hi everyone, I just want to confirm something I have recently discovered:

    A quick background. I am currently running DS6.9 SP2 on Server 2003 R2, been running great for years. I have started getting ready to build/upgrade the Altiris server to Server 2012 and DS6.9 SP6.

    I have a bunch(100+) of older Dell desktops/laptops running Win7 just fine but I don’t see Dell offering up Win8 drivers for them. I have the Vista drivers for all of them which have been working well in the current DS6.9 server.

    - Is true that you can only use Window 8 drivers for WinPE4?

    - You cannot use Win7 drivers with WinPE4?

    - Could I simply go with an earlier DS6.9 SP which comes with a lower WinPE version that allows Win7 drivers?

    Trying to avoid replacing 100+ machines for this one issue!
